What's the use of having Cake if you can't Eat it?

We have all heard, "You can not have your cake and eat it too".  Well who in their right mind would want a cake you can not eat?  Why can you not eat the cake you have?  Who made this rule?  Is it really a rule or is someone just jacking with us over the generations?  Why have we not questioned this rule before?
Why wouldn't we just chose to not even have the cake?  Would that not make life a lot more simple?  I mean, if I had a cake and it was sitting there day after day and I had to look but not touch, that would just be a form of torture.  I think I would chose to not have the cake at all.  A cake's sole purpose is to be eaten.  While it can be a thing of beauty to behold with the eyes and a sweet treat to the nose, it is made to be eaten.  So not only are we doing ourselves an injustice, we are depriving the cake of it's sole purpose in life and who wants that!  Not me!
If you decide that you want the cake despite not being able to eat it, why?  That is really all I have say about that point.
So next time someone tells you "you can not have your cake and eat it too" tell them you don't want the cake.  I personally think they are bluffing.  Call it!
I am not a princess oblivious to my people's poor condition, I am a Queen who says and means it, "Let them eat cake"!  It should improve anyone's condition, especially if it is made of chocolate.
Life is too short not to have your cake and eat it too, go for it!  Bake it yourself if you have too. ;-)

Don't be a Pusher

On my weight loss journey, which is an every day walk from here on out, I had more than my share of "pushers".
You know those people who jump on the congratulations band wagon just so they can sell you their product.  Those people who want to look and feel good but have no desire to eat and drink good so they share their secret to having the best of both worlds in a supplement or pill.  The people who just can not accept you are happy with where you are at the moment and what you are eating and drinking without having to take some new miracle chemical concoction that swears it is all-natural.  The beautiful, muscular, tanned, well-groomed model of health on the outside who's sole job is to get you "hooked" on their product so they can take a paycheck home.
I will admit, I did cheat at first.  I took HCG to lose the 70 pounds I lost.  However, during that time I started researching what I was eating and why I was eating it and what I could have during maintenance phase 1 and why and maintenance phase 2 and why.  I was weighing every day to see how certain foods affected the scale.  I kept a blog about what I ate and how I felt and what,if any, exercises or social activities I participated in and my weight of course.
Over the course of my HCG journey of only eating very fresh, clean, food I found myself feeling squeaky clean inside and out and my attitude and overall sense of being were changing.  I was happier, healthier, more energetic and I was at peace with life.  When I completed the HCG I figured that I would go back to bad habits and bad moods if I didn't continue the eating clean.  I test that theory ever now and then and I do feel icky when I eat icky.  I have not had any HCG since October 2012 and just from eating and exercising correctly I have maintained my weight and my sense of well-being and peacefulness.
I have been approached by many people, some I don't even know about taking this supplement or that pill or this all-natural product over my journey.  I tell them all, no thank you.  I go and research what I can eat or drink that is from Mother Earth that will do the same thing as what the "pusher" is pushing.  I have told my trainers from the beginning, I am not a supplement fan.  Let's work out a program that is beneficial to me without them.  So far, so good.
When someone brags about their weight loss accomplishments, the correct response is congratulations.  It is not a time to push your product.  If we were looking for a product, we would have asked.  Instead we made a statement about an accomplishment.
If someone ask, then by all means, give it your best sales pitch.  If you are living proof your product is great, then people will definitely ask.  I get asked all the time what it is that I am doing and I share my story.
Don't be a pusher, be a walking testimony for your product, whatever that might be.
