*The photo of my boss' wife and I when I weighed 212 lbs-because it reminds me how far I have come in my journey of weight loss and over all awareness (which was a side benefit). I refer to it as my Jabba photo, LOL. The photo keeps me inspired to stay on track and also makes me grateful for the wonderful family for which I work.
*Photo of my best friend, her mother and her neighbor at a local lady's night out acting silly-Friendship, happiness, silliness, female fun all shine out from this photo and make me smile every day. There is nothing like getting together with your girl friends from time to time and just letting it all hang out or down or whatever.
*JOY I cut off the top of a note-a daily reminder to find and embrace some joy. The colors and pattern are very soothing, yet fun an JOY in white stands out and shouts at you! "JOY!! I am here you just have to find me!"
*The Heart Circle and Rock-This heart originated with Team Hawk and I have embraced it to be part of me, with their permission of course. When Denise mentioned their 25th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal I knew that this heart with all the names of Team Hawk painted within it, had to be a huge part of the ceremony. Of course Team Hawk stepped it up several notches and had it as the background for the ceremony and the circle on my desk is actually a fan with a brief history of Denise and Ken on the other side. Since the ceremony took place out doors on the 15th of June in east Texas, this of course was brilliant! Each chair had a fan and a rock in it for each guest to have as their own. The rock was hand-painted by a Team Hawk member and it symbolizes kindness. Heart reminds me there is LOVE and the rock reminds me to share KINDNESS.
These are the things I see every day as I sit at my desk and I have chosen these things because they are symbols and reminders of what makes me HAPPY.
**Bonus-I love my job. I get to help people in a time of need and get paid for it. I work for the nicest mom and pop in town, they treat me like family.
JOY, LOVE, KINDNESS, HAPPY-YES!
